Art Care Tips

Here are some tips on caring for your art pieces.

1. Frame the art piece to prevent dust and dirt and also to protect the image and increase it's lifespan.

2. Choose UV resistant glass when framing your prints. This will minimize damage to the print.

3. Avoid framing the print yourself if you're not sure how to do it. Get a professional framer to do it for you. If you know how and want to do it yourself, get good quality mounting materials.

4. Do not use acid based mat, liners or backers as these will cause damage over time.

5. Place the art print away from direct sunlight. Colors can fade over time if placed in direct sunlight.

6. Clean the frame and glass by dusting it or wiping with a slight damp cloth. Be careful to avoid getting any moisture onto the print image. Try to avoid using any cleaning chemical solvents as it may damage the print. In short, never get the print media wet.

7. Avoid hanging art in places where it can get knocked over easily by human traffic, for example narrow corridors.
